Safety Meets Sophistication: The Brushed & Chiseled Edge

For a tropical resort, outdoor safety is as critical as interior beauty. Our client specifically selected the Brushed & Chiseled Edge finish for wet and high-traffic areas to provide a high-end look with vital non-slip properties:

• Outdoor & Wet Areas: 3,900 m² of French Pattern Set tiles were used for the poolside, verandas, and bathrooms. The French Pattern offers a timeless, modular aesthetic, while the brushed surface ensures safety for guests.
• Versatile Transitions: 1,300 m² of 61x61x1.2 cm tiles in the same Brushed and Chiseled finish were applied to both decorative interior and exterior walls, creating a seamless architectural flow.

Interior Luxury: The Polished Selection

Inside the guest rooms and communal spaces, the design shifts toward high-gloss elegance:

• Living & Bedroom Floors: 1,300 m² of 61x122x2 cm Polished tiles. The large-format 61x122 cm size minimizes grout lines, creating an expansive, regal feel.
• Feature Walls: 560 m² of Herringbone Model Diana Royal mosaics were used to add a geometric, modern flair to the bathroom and living room feature walls.

Custom Fabrication & Architectural Details

Mekmar’s commitment to customization is evident in the technical details of the DSP Project. We produced over 800 linear meters of specialized stone elements:

• Custom Skirting & Moldings: We crafted 20.3 x 61 x 1.2 cm polished and beveled skirtings, along with a unique custom molding model to provide a professional, finished look to every room.
• Structural Accents: 7,000 custom-made pieces of 5 cm polished and bullnose tiles were manufactured for steps and specialized corners, ensuring durability and safety throughout the hotel.
